I’ve read that big eyes, full lips, and a waist-to-hip ratio close to 0.7 means that you have a high level of estrogen.
Are there any benefits other than being really fertile?

Question by Taraand Willie4EVER: Anyone out there suffering from perimenopause? If so how do u deal with it?

Best answer:

Answer by Chris I
If you mean crazy mood swings, extremely heavy irregular bleeding and hot flashes and sleeplessness, I found the very best thing was get together with a friend and try to laugh it away! It seemed to last for years.

But to be honest – I think my husband and kids actually suffered more than I did. I was too busy hanging on to my sanity to think about them.

Some women seem to breeze thru with no problems but it can be wicked for others. My Doctor recommended St John’s wort and Chamomile Tea. He felt HRT and/or a hysterectomy because of the fibroids should be last resorts. I’m glad I listened because about two years ago it just stopped, almost overnight.

So hang on & try to find some thing to laugh about!

Good luck.

Best answer:

Answer by Mick
No. Your physical features are determined by your genes. Unless you have plastic surgery you can’t alter them. You don’t take a shot or smear a cream on your face at night and wake up looking like megan fox.

Question by tinkerbell: are leg cramps part of perimenopause?
what other symptoms are there?

Best answer:

Answer by syl c.
Yes. Joint pain and leg cramps, especially at night and upon awakening can be caused by decreasing levels of estrogen. This decline of estrogen can facilitate loss of both muscle mass and bone density, which puts more pressure on the joints. Estrogen enhances calcium absorbtion, so less estrogen circulating in your body during perimenopause can contribute to a calcium deficiency, which can cause leg cramps. Check with your GYN to see if you need to add hormones. Drink alot of fluids and make sure your potassium levels are normal to regulate these leg cramps. Always use stretching exercises for keep your calves muscles in shape. Try to sleep with a pillow between your legs in order to keep the stress off your back to prevent stress on the sciatica nerve which runs down both your legs. Other factors contributing to perimenopause are:
* Menstrual irregularity.
* Hot flashes and sleep problems.
* Mood changes. .
* Vaginal and bladder problems.
* Decreasing fertility.
* Changes in sexual function.
* Loss of bone.
* Changing cholesterol levels.

Hope this helped. Good luck.

I’m turning 40 this summer and I’m used to exercising, being happy etc, but now…I just can’t shake this darkness!! I’ve been told it’s perimenopause by the doctor. What is the best way to handle this decline? I don’t want meds, natural rememdies okay…but no meds.

Would just absolutely appreciate other women’s support about this issue, my mother won’t talk about it.

Best answer:

Answer by Jessica
Hey its okay girl well all are, have, or will be experience this. The best thing is just to remember that its alright. This is just normal. You should get together with your friends and do things. Do not let this stop you from having fun. Exercise if you want to go on dates with your husband if you are married and go to a beauty salon and do something nice and daring for yourself. Just do what you want…If it helps change up your looks to something that makes you feel happy and good about yourself. Try new hobbies that you would enjoy and look forward to. Just do not sit around and think about it. This is so depressing. You are still you and you are prefectly able to still do things. Good luck!
