What is the average 40yr old male sex drive (in age gap relationships)?01.29.12

Question by : What is the average 40yr old male sex drive (in age gap relationships)?
Here is the situation–

I am an 18 year old girl and recently started dating a 40yr old man (we get along famously, really). I keep reading that the male sex drive starts to go down at the age of 40 but some of these articles are very generalized and misleading, assuming that the 40yr old man has a wife within his age range whom has aged just as much as he has.

My question to be specific is whether or not the only reason these articles and information are generally saying that the average 40yr old libido goes down is because he is just not interested in having sex with an average 40yr old woman, or whether his sex drive goes down in general? Should his sex drive still remain at a wonderful peak with the idea of having sex with a younger/more fit 18 year old?

Extra: the first time i gave him a bj, after he came, he said something along the lines of nobody being able to make him do that in a long time. It was a little weird and I wasn’t entirely sure how to take it?

Any advice and insight would be really helpful, I think way too much about it. :[

On average what age do women start menopause ?09.26.11

Question by giggles94pink: On average what age do women start menopause ?
My friend and I were wondering on average what age do you start menopause.

Also, if you start your period at a later age (eg17 compared to 10) does that mean you start menopause later?

Menopause isn’t the sudden stopping of your periods. For most women, it’s a gradual happening called “perimenopause” http://www.mayoclinic.com/health/perimenopause/DS00554, then “menopause” is defined as having gone a year without periods.

Some women in perimenopause don’t reven realize what’s happening. It often starts happening in the 40′s. Periods will get longer or shorter, or heavier or lighter, or more/less often, as hormones start declining.

Perimenopause can be triggered by running out of usable eggs in your ovaries. Before a baby girl is born, she can have millions of eggs in her ovaries. At birth, she may have 400,000-500,000 eggs. Most of these die; some are ovulated (released from the ovaries). So it can be true that later menarche (first period) can result in later menopause.

My own perimenopause started at age 38, and now at 47 I’m in true menopause.
