Could my libido be low because always going to sleep and waking up late?11.01.11

Question by jrshannie: Could my libido be low because always going to sleep and waking up late?
I have noticed over the past few months that my libido is almost completely gone, and im only 23!

My sleep pattern recently has been bad too. Could this be the reason?

I still get anywhere from 7-10 hours sleep, but I always go to bed at around 3am-5am and wake up at around 11am-2pm. I have been doing this for about 2 months now.

Could this be affecting testosterone production and so my libido is really low?

Best answer:

Answer by Styrax O’poponax
You didn’t indicate if anything in your life changed as you started to notice this. Did your activity level change? Did you lose a job? Think back.

Low libido and the sleeping pattern you describe are both signs of depression.

If you decide you need help for that, then go for it. But you should first try getting back onto a normal sleep schedule– go to bed earlier and wake up earlier. This could also improve your depression, if you have that.

If none of this works, move someplace where the women are better looking ^_^

Q&A: Could these be symptoms of perimenopause?10.30.11

Question by Beauty4ashes: Could these be symptoms of perimenopause?
Is this normal right before period?
What does it mean to wake up and your feet are hot?
Woke up early in the morning today with burning in my feet. Also had some accompanying anxiety, discomfort in chest, nausea, impending doom. I have been taking Lorazepam intermittently for anxiety. Anybody else experience this? Going to see doc and I may just go off this medicine if it might be causing me problems. Also, experiencing some stomach pain and chills. I am 48 and may be perimenopausal on top of everything.

It could be that you are beginning menopause. Signs and symptoms of menopause begin to manifest in women within the age of 45 to early 50′s. Estrogen levels decline when a woman is going through menopause and it triggers a lot of physical changes. Missed or irregular periods, hot flashes, night sweats, sleep disturbances, mood swings, depression, tingling extremities, facial hair growth, unexplained weight gain are just some of the signs and symptoms of menopause. You should get yourself checked by your doctor to find out whether what you are going through right now is related to perimenopause or just the side effects of the medicine you are taking. If you want to learn more about the signs and symptoms of menopause and how to find relief here’s some help…

Could I be pregnant or going through perimenopause?10.27.11

Question by sunshine39: Could I be pregnant or going through perimenopause?
I am 39 years old, and I got my period last month and it lasted about 7 days – this month it came and it was only 1 day, but still have cramping like it is going to be coming – I have also been running a low grade temp for over a week anywhere from 99 – 99.5 degrees. I am not sure if this is a sign of pregnancy or could I be going through perimenopause. I would appreciate anyone that could help.

Thanks

How could you tell that you were going through perimenopause or premenopause?10.08.11

Question by CC Curious: How could you tell that you were going through perimenopause or premenopause?
At what age did it start for you?
Did your periods get heavier and or you missed or were late for them?
Did you feel like you were losing it sometimes?

Best answer:

Answer by ivillage4women
Many women begin to experience changes in their menstrual periods beginning in the late 30s to early 40s. This is the start of perimenopause, the variable amount of time before menopause, the complete loss of ovarian hormone function. During perimenopause, ovulation may become sporadic as hormone levels fluctuate. Some women may begin to skip periods or have heavier flow. More PMS-type symptoms, especially mood swings, may occur.
