Question by questioned: Is it possible for a libido enhancer to decrease onex sex drive?
I took a libido enhancer from gnc and my period stopped and my sex drive went to absolutely nothing. Is there any herb that could be responsible for this?

You need to find out what you really took and then ask your doctor. An ob/qyn wouldn’t have given you a herb but perhaps testosterone. I wouldn’t take anything until you get some blood work done to see whether there’s a hormonal imbalance. And don’t take herbs unless you’ve researched them carefully. Usually, one’s libido drops because of exhaustion, other medical problems, one’s own emotional difficulties, or difficulties in the relationship. Don’t treat it until you’ve thought about all of this.

I’m 22 and healthy. I’ve been on ortho tricyclen-lo for about 3 years and my sex drive steadily decreased. If I decide to stop taking the pill because of my decreased libido, what other birth control method could I use? I’m sorry but abstinence is not one of them. I do enjoy intercourse just not anymore.

I am 24 and so is my partner we have 3 children between the two of us and I swear I feel like I am a sexaholic. I feel like I am almost forcing him to sleep with me and I don’t want that feeling I want it to go away for good. I never want to feel like I am making him do something he doesn’t want too. I just need to find something to safely take away the urge to do things anymore. I can’t get chemical castoration because I am not some type of offender and I can’t get myself fixed by a doctor untill I am 25 that is almost a whole year away. This is a simple matter of just controlling yourself. I don’t believe that you can have “such a powerful urge to have sex” that you cannot control it. There are things you can do to help that urge. You may be confusing the urge with other things.

Yes, there are several “castration drugs” that you can take, but maybe that is a little drastic. Just don’t get those urges!! You are in control, so you can tell yourself what to think about and what to avoid. It’s really not that hard at all.
