Question by WTFK: Why has my libido gone down since my wife has become pregnant?
Since my wife has become pregnant my libido has gone completely down, and it has been over a month since we had sex last. I do not know why but I do not get turned on anymore, not at all by no one. I believe it will soon crush my marriage.
I would like to know if there are any articles or anything in the subject. If it is normal, if there are other people out there with the same problem, and how some of these people overcame it.

Maybe your subconscious thinks that it’s harmful to the baby if you have sex. In most cases, if there aren’t any complications in pregnancy, it’s perfectly fine… just avoid the super kinky stuff, obviously. My husband did the same thing for awhile… he was afraid of hurting the growing baby in me. Maybe you should discuss this with your wife? Maybe her libido has gone away a little too? During my second pregnancy, I had no sex drive what so ever. It’s tough to get through in marriage, but if you can both compromise … things will work out.

Because both of us didn’t have much a sex drive at various points, we would simply try to spice our sex life up. Ease the worries of pregnancy. Sometimes when I didn’t want to have sex, I would compromise and maybe do other things foreplay related. Same with my husband. You can still get releif without actually having to have intercourse.

I think it’s just a mental thing you’re going through, because you know that there is a baby in there. And, why would you let something like this crush your marriage??? You need to try to work through it!!! Talk to your wife about, and if you need more help, talk to a professional! I’m sure you’re not the first guy to freak out like this!

You could try viagra but I will tell ya what, that stuff sucks. The side effects are terrible. Have you ever tried a sexual enhancer? I was in your situation, like I said, viagra was tried but it wasn’t for me considering the side effects overwhelm the pleasures of it. I have noticed that my libido is lower and my erections are softer now that I have a job where I am sitting for most of the day. I noticed some nubness in my feet before taking breaks also. Is my job killing my sexlife?
