I’m 23 weeks along. Unfortunately I’m one of the woman who have little to no sex drive during pregnancy. I really don’t want to wait until im not pregnant to see if it’ll come back, and I highly doubt it’ll come back in my third trimester. Is there anything I can take or do while I’m pregnant that’ll help increase my libido?

I’ve had UTI’s and yeast infections throughout my pregnancy so I haven’t wanted to have sex.
And sex just isn’t good for me anymore anyway. I have all the extra weight, and I just don’t feel like I’m in the mood with all the aches pain and having to pee every 10 minutes.
I wouldn’t worry about it. If you don’t feel like doing it don’t stress. Its normal.

Did anyone have major sex drive during the first 6weeks of pregnancy?
lately ive been prouncing on my husband day in and day out. Whereas just a few weeks ago..i was content having sex once a week lol. Did anyone else experience this the first 6 weeks of pregnancy? And what causes this lol?

I asked a question before about libido during pregnancy and it seemed split down the middle. Half the women had no interest and half the women noted said they had an increase in sexual desire.

I started wondering what the baby’s gender was in relation to a rise or drop in sexual tendencies during pregnancy, so…. did you have more or less interest in sex during pregnancy and did you have a boy or a girl.

I’m an expectant father and I’m writing a book and blog http://blog.almostadad.com for expectant fathers on living with and caring for pregnant women.

First of all stop blaming yourself and tell your BF to quit being selfish and just thinking of him self. Believe me…over the course of your pregnancy your hormones are going to be going crazy…the first trimester is the worse…the second you are going to feel actually quite good and really want sex…tell him that…it takes time for your body to adjust to being pregnant and at only 6 weeks it is only the beginning…it will get better but for now do not worry about your BF take care of you and soon enough your sex drive will return….and remember…after the baby comes it will be 6 weeks again minimum before you are able to resume normal sexual activity…just getting your BF ready for what is to come..lol….really he should be more understanding and you definitely do not need the added stress of a BF who is not supportive….it is hard at the beginning your body is going through so many changes…you should just show this question to him so that he can see for himself that he is causing you more stress by making you feel guilty for something that you have absolutely no control over…let him see…perhaps he will understand more…congratulations on the coming of your new little baby, take care and no worries as far as sex right now…it will change.

Yes, it’s normal. Your body is experiencing hormonal changes at this stage just as it was when were you about to start your period. As long as it’s not greenish, grayish, or lumpy then it’s no cause for concern.

Vaginal mucosal atrophy and vaginal dryness are signs of estrogen decline.

The most common cause of vaginal dryness is declining estrogen production, which leads to thinning and drying of the vaginal wall. Other factors that contribute to vaginal dryness include reduced muscle tone and the longer time needed for sexual arousal that is so common in perimenopause.

Emotional stress can cause vaginal dryness. Depression or being under tremendous amounts of stress contribute to the issue.

Also, vaginal dryness can be a side effect of underlying medical conditions, so it’s a good idea to check with your doctor for any underlying conditions.
