MOST guys are better than girls when it comes to approaching and hitting on a desirable stranger. And until a relationship gets underway, guys usually are better at initiating sex. It’ll be really nice when ALL girls get to be just as good at these two things as the guys are!

Studies have shown that the female sex drive is JUST as strong as the male one. It’ll be great when society in general is clearly able to observe the evidence of it.

(And — just as girls enjoy getting hit upon, most of the time, guys, too, find it DELIGHTFUL when girls act that same way toward them! **Really** delightful!!)

Back in the BAD ol’ days, before the Sex Revolution of the ’60s and ’70s, much of society moronically criticized sexually-liberated girls and women. But it’s the 21st century now, and — fortunately! — most such critics these days are very properly regarded to be laughingstocks & busybodies. So why aren’t the gals, on average, as likely to be as openly assertive as the guys are?

Personally, I hit ONLY on girls who are attractive to me… and I would expect the gals to do likewise. So my question only boils down to THIS: Why don’t the gals hit on guys (who are attractive to them) to the SAME extent that guys hit on gals who are attractive to them?
To “Lady M” — I’m guessing that your answer is pretty all-inclusive. But… would I mind being hit-upon by girls, 247? Probably about as much as I’d ever tire of eating lobster. That would be **SUCH** a refreshing change!!

To “hmmmfunny” — For me, coming on to me increases my perception of a female’s sex appeal *exponentially*! That interest in me, on her part, just makes her more special!
To “ONLY I” — Yours is the answer I dreaded seeing the most! I had truly hoped that American society had at last outgrown having such archaic perceptions. (I *think* that most of Europe outgrew that long ago… and if so, the USA apparently has some catching up to do!)
To the EUROPEANS in here — Please look at the response by “lacubanita75,” below, and let me know if what she says would have any validity in YOUR part of the world? OR — is this misperception that assertive females must be “sluts” (on the part of some misguided people) an affliction that is limited more to the USA?

Question by Jess: Is it normal to lose your sex drive? (female, in a relationship)?
I’ve never had this problem before but for the last 1 or 2 months it’s just been disappearing and I haven’t had an orgasm for about a month or so! I love my boyfriend, but at the moment we don’t have the most exciting relationship, he is always busy etc and we didn’t even celebrate our anniversary in the end. I would never cheat on him but a new friend recently told me they really like me, and I find them very attractive but I would never go there even if i were single as they’re also very arrogant. I’m sure this hasn’t affected how I feel about my boyfriend but he is worried it has.
Also we were going away for our next birthday together but for money and family reasons he no longer wants to go, I know it’s just a little thing but it really upset me as I was really looking forward to it and I feel bad for being so annoyed/upset over it.
If it has come down to loving and feeling really comfortable with my boyfriend, but little else, would it be wrong to leave him? we are only 20 and if it doesn’t change, which it probably won’t as we are both studying for a few more years, it doesn’t seem like enough, but is that shallow? Is it probably just because of my relationship that I’m suddenly lacking in sex drive so much, or is it more probably something else?

I dont’ have any desire for it if I don’t like how it is done.

There are also times when I am just tired and exhausted.

Then there are times when I am annoyed at him or something else in my life.

Also, it can get monotonous if you go at it every week or everyday like it is food.

Are there any foods to eat or avoid or herbal remedies or certain types of exercise or anything you can think of that can reduce a lady’s sex drive? Or is it just learning to control your own mind? I know that sex is healthy but I always always always end up getting hurt (and I’m pretty picky with who I sleep with!) I turn into a horrendous flirt when I’m drunk and usually embarrass myself. I’ve become scared of having sex with anybody new but my sex drive is raging! It’s probably normal for my age but I wish I could clear my head of boys and fantasy and just get on with my own life. Just masturbate to relieve the tension & it will help you & safer to relieve yourself & very healthy as keeps you young & smiling & gets rid of tension. It is best to get to know someone first before getting involved as they could be a psycho & if you are already involved sexually hard to walk away ……exercise gets rid of tension… hormones go through the roof as get older & sex drive increases, tell me about it ……….makes me laugh when people say men have stronger sex urges as lots of women are the same

I’ve asked about this kind of thing before but I can’t fix this and I feel abnormal.

I’m a 15 year old girl and I have absolutely no sex drive at all. I’m not on any medications (well, I have topical junk from the dermatologist but does that count? Anyway, I’m not on BC, I’ve never had an orgasm before, and masturbation does nothing for me. I can’t get horny at all. Just to throw it in there, I’ve officially recognized myself as bisexual. I know, weird considering I don’t get horny from looking at people, but whatever.

I have a boyfriend of a year and 7mos now, and I love him. I’ll admit though, I’m not really physically attracted to him (but then again, I don’t get horny/physicall attracted to people a lot so it’s really not an issue) Sometimes we have spats, but nothing to be really stressed over. We’ve had sex, but I didn’t get anything out of it so we stopped doing that.

Go see your gynecologist or family physician. You probably have a chemical inbalance in your system. It is time to find out what is going on with your body.

At your age, you should have raging hormones, and be horny a lot, and enjoy sex and/or masturbation.

Ok so iv suffered with anorexia for 4 years now, before the anorexia my sex drive was higher than my boyfriends. Even thou my weight dropped I still had a sex drive, but for past few months I have had no sex drive what so ever not even sexual thoughts or gettin horny.
I will admit my weight has dropped again leavin my BMI at 15.8 could this be the reason why, cause I’m only 21 and feel like a weirdo not havin a sex drie

Try what are known as “aphrodisiacs”. A google search should bring up a definition and a list of believed aphrodisiacs. Also, you could try other things to spice it up a little.
