Question by Jackie Diane: Male Sex Drive… Questions from a womans view…?
Me and my Fiance have been together 4 years. We have a great relationship and we love each other dearly.

he’s 22 and i am 21. is it weird that my sex drive is WAY LARGER than his? I like want sex all the time… and he’s been fine with that up until like 4 months ago.

We have run into some money troubles and bills are stressing us both out. could that be the reason his sex drive has gone down. i used to get it a few times a week, now im lucky if i get it once every 3 weeks.
is it me? I haven’t gained any weight, changed my appearance or anything. I don’t know if i need to try something else to spice up things. i bought a cute new lingerie piece that he liked, but it only worked that one night… i need some help. we talk, and he doesn’t know what’s wrong either…
ok.. i may have been exggerating about once every 3 weeks, but its not like once a week or anything. its more random. and we talk about it all the time and all he ever does is complain about bills and how he’s depressed that we still owe 10,000 on one of our vehicles. and gas prices are rising and we have a bad mileage vehicle.

Question by Heartbroken: How long can it take for a male’s sex drive to go up from exercising?
My guys sex drive is at like 2-3 times a month counting his solo flights; so now he’s starting to exercise and I’ve read that exercise can increase sex drive so how long could it take for him to want it more often?

after he warms up he has 30 to 40 min to peek out his testosterone
with running and strength training after that he will start to lose again.

Question by JB: Low male sex drive from the following medication?
My husband seems to have a low sex drive. He is on the following medications Metoprolol 50mg, Remeron 30mg and 0.5 mg of xanax 2 times a day could any of these meds have an effect on his sex drive?

totally.. Almost assuredly.

Hypertention meds (metoprolol) can cause actual erectile dysfunction while you are on them which make it hard (no pun intended) to want to do it.

Antidepressant (remeron) almost all list “certain sexual side-effects” which translates to anything from lowering desire all the way up to inability to orgasm during sex.

Xanax is made to put a stressed\tweaked person into a zombie state which is not conducive either so almost certainly, the meds are affecting his drive.

Speaking as someone who was on some of those meds and not is off, the sex will be GREAT if you stick by him.. Talk to the prescribing doc about the side-effects and TALK TO EACH OTHER to keep your relationship strong.. Just until you get out of whatever is making him be on the meds and then you are home free.
