Question by HD Momma: question on sex drive (female)?
I’m a 20 yr old female who has always had a pretty high sex drive. Even through pregnancy I kept my husband very busy. But more recently I’ve really slacked off and I don’t know what’s happened, I used to go crazy if there was 3 days in between encounters, but I had gone 14 days without a while back and 5-7 days a few times too. It drives me insane mentally but physically there’s no drive. What could be causing the sudden change? The way we do things hasn’t changed and I still get turned on, It just never goes anywhere.

Are you taking any new medication? Are you going through so much stress during the day that your body just can’t get turned on like it used to? If it’s neither of those things then it may just be a phase, but if it lasts too long then I would go see a doctor, you just never know.

Yes. I used to get off really fast during sex. Then I went through a phase where I would jerk off a few times a day. Now it takes me hours to blow my load.

Here is the problem. About 4 years ago her mother was killed in an automobile accident, in the understandable mental confusion created by that she wasn’t regular with her birth control, ended up getting preg. by her then husband who ended up divorcing her and leaving when she was 7 months pregnant. She’s distant with her sisters, and not extremely close with her father (a little anger there because she was given everything in the will and despite her best efforts to share her whole family are “takers” and always standing there with their hands out saying “give me, give me, give me”. All this happened in the brief period of 7 or 8 months, about 3 years ago.
Now to my question. I have strong feelings for her but her sex drive is not nearly what mine is. I believe sex is a big thing in a relationship. Maybe, if you think about it, one of the most important because I doubt any couple that is currently married would have gotten married if one of the two had told the other that they would marry them but would never have sex with her. So, I believe sex is important, it’s just the amount of it that may vary a little from couple to couple.
So, basically I’m wondering how much of her low sex drive is a result of the above, and how much of it is the fact that she’s 37, already has a child, and maybe the sex drive is on it’s way out because of that.
Help, I don’t want to lose her, but we’ve started to argue, and have big discussions about it.
Also, she blames some of lack of desire on her belief that sex outside of marriage is wrong, but I tend to think that percieved morals are easier to uphold when the desire is not what it should be.
Need Advice, please.
Also, please skip this question if you plan on answering with the all encompassing statement of “if you love her you will understand”, because that works both ways.

Sorry, it doesn’t work both ways. You clearly don’t respect or care about this woman, especially since you seem to think her values are just a cover up to keep you from getting the amount of poon you think you deserve.

Males generally relieve stress through physical work. Sex is one way of relieving tension. Therefore, if he is under greater stress, his sex drive may be higher.
THis is only a guide, however. Discuss the issue with him further.

I asked this question yesterday but the answers weren’t very satisfying… So i’m going to bother you guys again.

My gf and I were somewhat sexually active.. Before, we made love like nearly every single day. And for a couple of months, due to our busy schedule, we were able to at least did it twice or thrice a week. However, she is on a bit of an average side (not too lean) and she didn’t like. So recently, she’s on a somewhat strict diet and exercise. She has been losing several pounds and suddenly her sex drive is gone. She’s no longer horny and we haven’t done it for about 3 weeks… However, there’s nothing wrong w/ her and she acts very normal. I know she’s not cheating on me, or on any medication…or anything of that sort. She also mention about abstaining… Have any of the female here gone thru this sudden changes? Is there actually something wrong?

her hormone levels are probably changing from her change in lifestyle…this could change her mood and cravings for sex. also, a change in hormones could change her feelings about rather it is morally right to do that. hormones do alot we don’t always realize. just respect her if you love her.
