Can low sex drive be a symptom a health or hormone issue. What should I look into other than emotional issues? • 05.23.12
Question by thetigersnameistony: Can low sex drive be a symptom a health or hormone issue. What should I look into other than emotional issues?
I am a almost 30yrs female and tired of not having any sex drive. I feel horrible in relationships because I know I should want to have sex more, I just rarely seem to want to. I probably am one of the only females that would rather perform oral sex 90% of the time and have intercourse every once in a while.
I don’t want to be like this anymore and have horrible insurance and very little time to be running around investigating this problem…so if anyone has any insight please provide it.
I do notice that I tend to have much more of a sex drive in the morning, and at night I am just not interested. I am not ruling out the idea that it is emotional however I do believe I have hormone imbalances. (I have horrible acne, extremely light menstrual cycles, don’t sleep well, low body temp. and lots of other signs of such.) When I can get into it, I don’t orgasm and half way through am waiting for it to be over. I also recently noticed bleeding and have cramps a day or 2 afterwards

You have not said if you use b/c pills. If the answer is yes, you have your answer, many of those b/c methods cause a low libido, no sex drive etc.
If you do not use any form of b/c (hormonal) your description of all those symptoms, I would say that even with a bad insurance its worthwhile to go see a gynecologist who could prescribe one of those “wonder” remedies that regulate your cycle, dispose of acne and might do something to your sex drive.
