Question by k: Male sex drive on antidepressants such as Prozac?
I wasn’t sure how to work my question, but is it common for men to almost lose the ability to ejaculate while on antidepressants? My boyfriend says that’s what it is, but I think it might be me. Perhaps I’m paranoid. Thanks.

My boyfriend was also on antidepressants. And YES he did loose his sex drive almost completely.

This question must be considered from a social evolutionary (such as growth towards peace and tolerance not Darwinism) premise rather than the primitive/hedonistic based perspective I’m certain this question will arouse, no pun intended. In other words think with your brains, not your reptilian 4 “F’s” based instincts/mentality. My theory is that most males when it comes to sex are just pretending to be civilized.

The ones who engage in the activities you name let their impulsive animal instincts take over..for all intents and purposes, they revert to cavemen.

Saying that most of us “pretend” to be civilized is biased, chauvinistic, and extremely narrow-minded.
