Female sex drive higher than husbands, is that unusual?01.28.12

Question by S&M P: Female sex drive higher than husbands, is that unusual?
My sex drive is higher than my husbands? I read all these things on the web about women with low sex drives, but not the other way around. Am I just strange?

Is the male sex drive stronger than the female sex drive?11.29.11

Question by Michael F: Is the male sex drive stronger than the female sex drive?
I know that in most animal species, the males clearly want sex more than the females, but I was wondering if humans were different. Here’s a couple of facts that I considered:
1. According to research done by The Reader’s Digest, women are more likely to have extra-marital affairs than men nowadays.
2. Human intelligence seems to elevate sex to a whole new level, and we clearly do sexual things that other animals don’t do.
3. In most animal species, the females are the horniest when they’re in heat, but human females seem hornier when they’re older and no longer able to get pregnant (or so they say) ;) Then again, I’ve heard other stories of older women becoming much less interested in sex, while men always want it, even when they’re older.

My periods lately are much lighter than I usually experience. Is this perimenopause?10.16.11

Question by thbeatgozon69: My periods lately are much lighter than I usually experience. Is this perimenopause?
I have noticed that the past few months my periods are a little bit irregular as they sometimes start a few days earlier than anticipated, they are lighter, and last shorter than what I usually have. I also have been noticing more irritable moods and some brief blurry vision from out of nowhere. I’m wondering if I’m starting the transition into menopause…I’m 41 in case you’re wondering.

Q&A: Can it be something other than perimenopause?10.01.11

Question by Brain Tickler: Can it be something other than perimenopause?
I seem to show symptoms of perimenopause. But I refuse to believe that may be happening to me. Okay, I may get woken up in the middle of the night with what seems to be hot flashes, that seems to happen either now, during my period, or just after. And okay, there might be some vaginal dryness at times, but that says more about the sex life than anything else.

Couldn’t there be other issues going on apart from being permimenopausal? My digestive system hasn’t been working very well ever since I had gastroenteritus and ever since then I just haven’t been myself.
Thanks for all the replies so far. Much appreciated.

Am 37, on the pill for over 10 years now, smoke (I know, very bad). In fact, I had even wondered whether the company may have changed the contents/qty in the pill (Yasmine). Not going through immediate stress. But I do think it might be hormone related.
