What do you think of genetically engineering a society without a sex drive?01.18.12

Question by Me: What do you think of genetically engineering a society without a sex drive?
Do parents have the right to have kids that are genetically engineered without a sex drive in order to reduce the amount of time and energy they spend on satisfying their primal urge and increase the amount of time they pursue intellectual pursuits?

I think this would create a much more energy and time efficient society.

I think sex serves as a motivation in life; something to live for, for some people. There would probably be a lot more deaths and unhappiness in the world without it. However, it might save many lives as well. A lot of crimes are sex-related and involve rape and murder.

I personally think life would be much easier without “it”. The times when you don’t have “it” you’re thinking about “it” wishing you were doing “it”. We’d have a lot of nasty pedophiles and rapists off of our hands. And children wouldn’t have to deal with foster care troubles because there would be no such thing as an “accident” baby.

Perhaps our economy would be stronger because we would have a less huge distractions.

What do husbands think when their wives have a high sex drive?11.15.11

Question by florita: What do husbands think when their wives have a high sex drive?
I’m single, but I’ve always had a high sex drive. I haven’t had sex in almost 5 years, but in past relationships I never got tired of sex. Sore, but not tired of it. I wonder sometimes what my husband will think of me if I want it more than him or just as much. Do you think I should be myself and let him know when I’m horny or act like I don’t want it unless he does.

Q&A: Why do you think that mens sex drive stays the same while women over a certain age lose their sex drive?10.27.11

Question by KZ: Why do you think that mens sex drive stays the same while women over a certain age lose their sex drive?
A few men have commented that women somewhere between 50 and 60 lose their sex drive. While I disagree, women have answered this as normal, loss of estrogen, etc.

What is your experience in regards to this and why?

because women are miserable and after 50 they automatically become frigid…… only joking lol

because women have the menopause and men don’t.

Do you think his libido will ever go back to normal?10.26.11

Question by i’m getting married!: Do you think his libido will ever go back to normal?
My fiance’s libido has declined over the last five years, and the last four years has been almost non-existent. He’s too embarrassed to go to the docs, and has promised to find ‘natural’ remedies, but as yet hasn’t tried any. I love him, and will stay with him regardless, but i SO miss the closeness and intimacy we once had. Do you think things will just go back to normal on their own, or should i push him to try and change things? Thanks.

Five years is a long time to think this could clear up on it’s own. You have agreed to marry a man who is too embarrassed to go to the doctor, but has failed to treat himself for a condition that greatly affects you both, after promising to do so. Yes, you definitely need to push him. He is being negligent of you both, and immature. Before a doctor starts residency, he/she has studied and heard about cases much more dramatic than your fiance’s. As an adult who’s ready to marry, he should be able to get help for himself, especially if his condition is affecting you.
