Question by Michelle: Dp some women have enough testosterone in the body (as much as an average male) to adopt a similar sex drive?
Both men and women have testosterone in the body, but men usually have a larger concentration of this hormone. I heard that there were cases where women had the same amount of testosterone as the average male? Is this true? How frequent is this? If so, would the women have a similar sex drive? Would this cause more problems for the women…such as hair growth and increase in agressiveness etc….?

well, i dont know if my testostrone levels are different, but i usually have more sex drive and more intrest in sex than males do. Im very competative with males and can get very aggressive when competing and i guess i do act like i have alot of testostrone.

but i have a very female frame, got curves and boobs and not a brown hair on my body and my hair is actually very thin.

AND, is testosterone really the libido-causing hormone for BOTH genders? In my psychopharmacology class years ago, my (female) professor taught us that testosterone is responsible for the male sex drive, while estrogen and progesterone is responsible for the female sex drive — she was a smart lady with a PhD, teaching at a prestigious university. It’d make sense, since it’s estrogen that’s responsible for all of the female sexual characteristics. Very masculine women probably have higher testosterone levels, and they never seem interested in sexual relations at all.

As for the original question, with women committing just as much adultery as men these days, I’d have to wonder if men are really hornier than women. Men are clearly easier to please and in many cases less selective, but I’m not so sure that men really have a stronger sex drive.

Question by Dave: If women have less Libido is that the reason they don’t care much for sex?
Only reason women want sex to start with is to start a family/have a child, but in a sense women have a small amount of libido, hence said that must be the reason they don’t crave it much or don’t have much desire for it. Right or Wrong??? In other other terms unless it’s for procreation, sex is a crutch for them.

Women crave less sex because we live in a society that suppresses female libido while over-glorifying male libido. After years of being told that it’s wrong for a girl to have sex or masturbate, they learn to suppress sexual urges.
In addition to that, many women go onto hormonal birth control when they’re very young. Hormonal birth control has the well-known side effect of suppressing the natural sex drive. Many women are not aware of this side effect and assume that their normal libido is low.

Sex is just as enjoyable for women as it is for men; most women who have sex do not see it as a crutch but rather an enjoyable, pleasurable, fun experience. Assuming women are biologically geared to crave less sex because in our society women express less of a desire for sex is… faulty reasoning. Not only that, but that idea is easily disproved by examining other cultures, many of them where it is considered “obvious” that men crave less sex than women.

I’m looking for a quick way to reduce libido. Can any readily available food, supplements, herbs, or OTC medications do this?

Many substances reduce libido. However they all have their own associated problems. If this is affecting your life counseling is the best bet.

I have had my mirena for 3 years now. Here recently my libido has COMPLETELY gone away. No interest at all and nothing can get me in the mood, and I mean nothing.

Any other women experience this while on this IUD?

This is pretty normal for birth control…I was in your same situation and tried everything to restore it. I switched pills a couple times and gave up, the libido was just not coming back. I then found a natural herbal enhancer that is supposed to increase your sex drive and a couple other things. It’s called Hersolution gel, read up about it at herenhancement.com where I saved on it at the time. However it’s like an instant libido rush and as I kept using it my sex drive was through the roof and continues to be. The sensation blast is great too, I can’t tell you how many times I’ve had multiple orgasms when before I couldn’t even get a single one. Theres also capsules you can take that I’ve heard are better but I don’t like swallowing many pills throughout the day. I was skeptical at first but the return policy was so great that the company was offer. From what I remember you had to try it out for a couple months but then you had time afterwards to return it for a full money back if it didn’t work. I didn’t have that problem as you can see. I think the only reason men like women is because of their own sex drive. Otherwise, what is there to like? Women don’t like going to a bar and watching a football game. They aren’t good at rough and tumble sports. They aren’t as funny and interesting as guys. All they care about are boring items like clothes, homes, food, beauty, and perfume. If it wasn’t for the male sex drive, women would just be stuck with other women.

Hm, interesting observation.

I would go to a bar with anybody, I yell louder than anybody else at football and basketball games, and I can pack a good punch.

I know better one-liners than guys, I could kick your butt playing soccer, and I’ll talk to anybody about anything.

I still care about my family, and perfume and if I look good, but doing “guy” things doesnt make me any less a woman.

You need to find yourself some more independent women.
